Does my video leave my device? No. Compression happens on your device.
What happens to the original? Nothing until you review the compressed version and choose "Replace original". Your device then asks you to confirm the deletion.
I bought the lifetime unlock on another device. Open Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases".
A video isn't offered for compression. Tap + in the Library tab to pick it yourself.
